EVENING HOST
Aaron Baker
Aaron Baker is a former professional motorsports champion turned recovering quadriplegic, husband, father, author, adventure athlete, keynote speaker, and advocate for spinal cord injury. In 1999, a devastating spinal cord injury left Aaron paralyzed from the chin down and given a one-in-a-million chance of feeding himself again. From the start, he focused on rebuilding his life, mastering tools for recovery and resilience that he now shares with others.
Aaron co-founded the Center of Restorative Exercise and serves on the board of Wings for Life USA. As an athlete, he has achieved remarkable feats for his injury level, including cycling across the U.S. twice and winning a National Championship with the Paralympic program in 2012. His journey is chronicled in the Netflix documentary Coming to My Senses, which highlights his 20-mile walk through Death Valley. In 2022, Aaron published his memoir, The Rebellious Recovery: Transform Your Adversity Into Adventure, encapsulating two decades of recovery and triumph.
Most recently, Aaron and his wife launched the Adversity Into Adventure Foundation, supporting rehabilitation, recreation, and neurological research for the disabled community. In 2024, he cycled Route 66 as a campaign to inspire others. Through his keynotes, Aaron empowers audiences to navigate adversity with a mindset and movement-based approach, inspiring peace, purpose, and joy. For over 20 years, he has shared his story worldwide with organizations, schools, and communities.
